What to wear and bring

For comfort and safety we would also ask that each participating child be equipped with the following gear:
- Sturdy, comfortable closed toed shoes
- Rain gear (top and bottom, wait until October to purchase)
- Sun hat & cool weather hat
- Clothing layers, dress for the season!
- Water bottle with a full day's water supply (water, not juice)
- Non-toxic hand spray for quick washing
- Non-toxic tick spray: Buzz Away Extreme from Wholefoods
- Pre-made lunch and snacks (in reusable containers as much as possible, no candy)
- Comfortable daypack that fits your child’s body (large enough to hold everything)

- Writing Pencils, pens, and certain art materials
- Emergency whistle and bandana
- Wilderness Emergency First Aid kit for a group
