At first I was a little nervous about sending my almost 6 year old to a camp from 9am – 3pm. She had done camps before but not one that lasted almost all day and definitely not one that was completely outside. But after seeing her reaction after the first day, I realized this camp was definitely worth it! She had a wonderful time and loved talking about what she did every day. From the face painting, to archery, to walking through the creek, she spent the week doing such worthwhile things with new friends while spending it outside in nature. I will definitely be looking at this camp for her every summer because it made such a difference in her life and I couldn’t have been happier.
Thanks so much Marisa for offering this program to kids! ~Rachel
"My girls (now aged 13 and 15) have been attending Marisa's camps for a few years now. They have learned many amazing outdoor survival skills (fire making, wild edibles, shelter building), primitive crafting, cooperative game play, sensory games, songs, and so much more! Every year, when I ask them what camps they might want to do, they always say BEan In Nature. Marisa homeschools her two boys, plus has the education and training to lead children in the outdoors. Diamond Mendez, one of her instructors, was homeschooled and also has the education and training for an amazing teaching skills. My girls have done a year long teen program with him and also has nothing but praise for him. Check them out!" ~Heather Ward
"Marisa is such a fantastic addition to my child's life that we schedule her nature classes first and everything else around them. Not only is Marisa fantastic with kids in general, but her care and detail with my daughter's food allergies has made her a trusted member of my inner circle. In addition to being a fabulous mentor, Marisa is a skilled nature teacher with boundless enthusiasm and energy. I love having her as a role model for my daughter! Do I recommend her classes? A thousand times YES." - Homeschool Mom, San Jose, CA
