What a journey this season has been. Whew! A radial break, a cast, a pause from the life I love — trails, outdoor adventures, and my yoga mat — and yet, I was held. Held by YOU. By my extraordinary communities of friends, family, and even beautiful strangers who showed up for me when I could not show up for myself. read on…
My surgeon shared something that moved me deeply — she said my recovery has been remarkable, and she attributes it to who I am: an active, outdoor-loving soul whose body knows how to heal. I haven't fully returned to my yoga practice yet, but I am moving, healing, and deeply grateful for her encouragement. Progress, not perfection. 🌿
This season brought more than a physical recovery. The loss of my marriage, the reframing of my home — finding a renter in Santa Clara County just to stay afloat — and layering medical expenses on top of that, even with insurance... it was a level of exhaustion I had never known. And still, you found me. You blessed me with the financial support that allowed me to take the time I needed to rest and heal. That is not something I take lightly. That is love in action.
And the blessings continue to pour in — our #BEanINNature summer survival camps are SELLING, with so many amazing families returning because they love what we do together in nature. Our BEan Eco Earth Spring program at #ATeamHomeschoolCommunity has gained incredible enrollment, and I trust with my whole heart that this summer will be abundant and beautiful for our community of learners.
I have lived long enough and loved hard enough to know that life will bend you. It will ask more of you than you think you have. What carries you through is what you've built before the storm — your body, your faith, your spirit, and the people you've chosen and who have chosen you. You chose me this season, when I could not choose for myself. You rolled with me when I could not roll alone. For that, I am forever changed — and forever grateful.
To those who gave here, to those who gave offline, and to the few faces I don't even know yet — you helped beyond measure and I am eternally grateful.
