Welcome to Our NEW Little Peeps Explorers Program
Our Little Peeps Explorer Summer Camp begins our day with the larger village community time a Gratitude circle and in song. After this time we find a peaceful spot for snack and story before we begin our wander, explore and adventure time! Songs, stories and creative guiding connect and promote a sense of belonging in nature, as well as, connections with fellow students.
Parents have the opportunity to learn along side their children each week as we explore all the diverse landscapes of Anderson Lake Park.
This program is part of a larger “village” community that includes intentional overlap with ages 5.5-8 and sometimes ages 9-12 year olds.

Connecting to the Earth
BEan In Nature mentors facilitate kids to love, care and connect to nature not by using a ‘teach at the child’ didactic model, instead we use the skillful art of questioning, creative guiding and mentoring, experiential child-led focus and facilitate learning by doing, where we share our contagious enthusiasm, our imagination, and our own love of nature.
We believe that connecting to nature with the guidance of a creative nature mentor, who skillfully facilitates nature awareness, ancestral skills and crafts, while out in nature’s classroom, allows children to develop a strong sense of self and a natural love of science. In this design children are naturally accessing their whole imaginations, incorporating their whole focus, all the while growing into amazing earth stewards.
Our small group setting encourages safe exploration for the child with the development of social skills, including leadership, conflict resolution and cooperation, all in a developmentally appropriate style.
